09/04/2026: We firmly believe it is important to insure your puppy. 08/31/2026: Safety is first in all that we do. For safety reasons we have discontinued allowing in-person, face-to-face, in home visits. This is due to several factors: Until puppies are fully vaccinated they are highly susceptible to easily spread viruses, like Parvo, that will quickly whip out an entire litter of puppies. Additionally, alarmingly, breeders have been increasingly targeted, with crimes being committed against them in their homes. Most recently, 37-year-old Sergio Ferrer plead guilty to second-degree murder and aggravated robbery in the death of Doberman pincher breeder Paul Peavey, located in Idaho Springs, Colorado. Fetter, admitted to killing Peavey on his property, and then he stole Peavey’s new litter of puppies and sold several of the puppies. Ferrer targeted Peavey after being denied a puppy from the litter.

08/28/2026: Health Testing Update — Our Beach Cotons Island Girl, “Isla,” and Unusual Loki The Sweetest Coton, “Loki,” have had their OFA Health Test Results published at OFA. Their results have also been uploaded to our website and may be viewed on their individual pages. You can see their results at OFA by scanning the QR codes, located on the right. Health testing is the foundation for everything we do here at Beach Cotons!
08/18/2026: Breeding Update — We are anticipating two litters. Following consultation with our reproduction vet, Tito and Tori have been paired together, and the anticipated due date is October 15, 2026. Loki and Cally have also been paired together, with an anticipated due date of October 20, 2026. Details about both breedings are on our Puppy Availability page. If interested in a Beach Coton puppy we have a few spaces available on our wait list for these upcoming litters. Our list fills quickly, so the sooner you get on it the better. You must complete our Puppy Application / Questionnaire to receive consideration.
08/06/2026: Tori and Cally are both in heat. We scheduled appointments with our reproduction vet on 08/11 & 08/17 for wellness checks, progesterone testing and consultation to determine if we should breed either at this time or wait until their next heat cycle.
On 08/12/2026, I will be attending a webinar, entitled “When Timing Is Everything, Details Matter-Sponsored by Purina®Pro Plan®,” and lead by Julie T. Cecere, DVM, MS, DACT. Attendees will learn more about the canine reproductive cycle and how tracking hormonal levels is key to successful breeding timing. Different types of tests that measure progesterone and LH hormones, as well as the unique physiology that drives canine oocyte maturation, will be discussed.
08-03-2026: Health Testing — With the addition of new dogs, Isla and Loki, plus annual eye recertifications and annual wellness checks of all our dogs, we are in the process of updating our dog’s health records. Pursuant to our policy: All our breeding dogs are health tested to the recommendations of the AKC Parent Breed Club, the United States of America Coton de Tulear Club, Inc. Health results are published on our website, under each dogs profile page, and The Canine Health Information Center, OFA. Additionally, every puppy that leaves our home receives a written health record and health guarantee, a Wellness Examination by our vet, that includes a fecal check, has been wormed, has a been given all required age appropriate vaccinations, and is microchipped with AKC Reunite. We strive to meet the highest standards and provide the best, and nothing less, always.
08-01-2026: We have have been looking for a 2nd boy to add to our program and have found him, Unusual Loki The Sweetest Coton, a Polish import, bred by our friend, Karolina Daszkiewicz. Loki is a young male of three years. He has been living in the Las Vegas area with Kim Way, of Wayfair Cotons. Kim has made the decision to discontinue her breeding program, and graciously allowed me to purchase this outstanding and beautiful boy. This special boy is everything we have been looking for. Loki is DNA clear on all health tests affecting the Coton.
We look forward to Loki’s first litter of puppies, and plan for that to be with Sutter Buttes California Dreamin’ at Beach Cotons, “Cally.” We anticipate having our first litter of puppies with Loki sometime between now and the summer of 2027.
07-31-2026: Show brag — Our Tori, Victoria’s Secret du Castel de la Roche aux fees, was awarded Best Of Opposite Sex and Winners Bitch at the Columbiana County Kennel Club’s show, located in Canfield, Ohio. Tori has both her majors, and now only needs 4 points to achieve her AKC Championship title. It’s within striking distance!
07-29-2026: We had Beach Cotons Sex On The Beach,”Tito’s,” sperm collected and frozen by Savants Canine Services. Tito is a lovely boy and we are delighted to have his sperm frozen for the future.
06-20-2026: Our most recent litter of puppies have gone to their forever homes! Luke, now Bernie, is living his best life as a companion in a local home. Bo, now Titan, has moved to Canada, with our friends Renee and Scott, at Chapala Bay Cotons, and will hopefully grow up and contribute great things for them as a breeding male. Sweet little Daisy, now Beach Cotons Island Girl, “Isla,” was just too adorable to part with and has stayed here at Beach Cotons.
We anticipate having 2 litters ready for their new homes between now and the summer of 2027.
Our next girls to have puppies are Cally and Tori.

05-03-2026: We have earned the AKC recognition of “Bred with H.E.A.R.T.”, which recognizes our commitment to health, education, accountability, responsibility and tradition in breeding dogs.
04-11-2026: We have had a visit from the stork, and have been greatly blessed with three precious and healthy puppies, one girl and two boys. They are resting and nursing with their beautiful mom, Tori, who is very proud of them, and is taking excellent care of them. We have decided to follow the theme of the Dukes of Hazard television series from the late 70’s in assigning the names we will call them as babies: Daisy, Luke and Bo. We will be posting weekly updates about the puppies on our website.
04-06-2026: Pregnancy update — Tori is about five days away from her due date, and has had a check up with our reproduction vet, which included an x-ray. She has three precious babies that will soon be welcomed into our hearts and the world. Our vet said everything looks great!
03-16-2026: Pregnancy confirmed — Tori had an appointment with our reproduction vet today. She received an ultrasound. Our vet detected three little heart beats, and anticipates a due date of April 11th.
02-09-2026: Following progesterone testing at our reproduction vet’s office, Tori, Victoria’s Secret du Castel de la Roche aux fees, and Tito, Beach Cotons Sex On The Beach, have been bred, with an anticipated due date, if the breeding results in pregnancy, of April 11th. An ultrasound has been scheduled for March 16th to confirm pregnancy. Both dogs are fully health tested.
02-02-2026: Our sweet Tori is in heat. She has an appointment today with our reproduction vet to check her progesterone level, and will receive a wellness exam and breeding evaluation/exam to ensure this is an optimal time to breed her. Tito also has an appointment today. Since this is his first breeding we wanted to have his sperm evaluated. He had more than 500 million live sperm! His motility test is shared below. I will document the progress of the breeding and whelping process here to shed a little insight into actions responsible breeders take when planning to bring a litter of puppies into the world.
