The start of summer of 2013 ushered in one of the greatest blessings, it is when I brought my precious Perry home from France. Perry was bred by my mentor and dear friend, Florence Faurez. He was just the perfect companion in every way. I was privileged to have this special dog for 11 years. My heart was broken when Perry passed, May 2nd, 2024. He lives on in my memory, my heart, and my love and joy for this wonderful breed.

A Little Breed History
When the Coton first came to the USA it was not initially a part of the AKC Stud Book. We were known as a Rare Breed at that time. It took several years for the breed to be recognized by the AKC. While we were working to achieve that status, in lieu of an official registration certificate, the AKC issued certificates that showed our dogs as Foundation Stock, only later issuing Official AKC Registration Certificates upon the breed receiving full AKC recognition in 2014. Below is a copy of Perry’s original Foundation Stock Certificate.
