Beach Cotons

Hi, I’m Greg Beach, the breeder behind Beach Cotons. The picture on the right is me, in the fall of 2016, in Paris, France, at Charles-de-Gaulle airport, bringing home a beautiful little girl, My Sweet Alice Du Castel De La Roche Aux Fees, from my friend and mentor, Florence Faurez, of Du Castel de la Roche Aux Fees.

On another occasion, after searching for nearly two years, I flew to Paris, France on June 6, 2013 to bring home my first Coton de Tulear, I Am Perry Ellis du Castle de la Roche Aux Fees, pictured below as a puppy. He is also bred by my good friend Florence. This began by passion and love for the Coton de Tulear Breed. As far as I am concerned, there is no other dog breed quite like it. Once you have lived with and experienced the charm and love of the Coton there is no turning back.

Before the Coton, between 1987 and 2011, I bred the exquisite Sacred Cat of Burma. Over the years I produced many top award winning cats. Little did I know, upon retiring from breeding my lovely cats, my heart would soon be captured by the Coton de Tulear. You might be surprised about the similarities that exist between breeding cats and dogs. I definitely have been able to carry over many of the things I learned, especially the principals of genetics.

Speaking of genetics, I have taught genetics at a community college as an adjunct professor. My knowledge of genetics has been invaluable to me as a breeder and is something anyone who acquires a puppy bred by me will benefit from.

I am passionate about helping protect and promote this lovely breed, and am a member of The AKC (The American Kennel Club) Parent Breed Club: The United States of America Coton de Tulear Club, where I served two terms as the Club President, and on numerous committees, including Chairman of the Fundraising, Outreach and Bylaws Policy and Procedure Committee.  Over the years I have also served as Treasurer and as a Regional Representative on the club’s Board of Directors.  I currently serve as the club’s Past President.  I have also been a member of the esteemed French breed club, Club du Chihuahua de Coton de Tulear et des Exotiques.

I am always available to answer any questions and help guide you in your Coton de Tulear journey.
